Strange Objects Parked In Earth Orbit

John Lenard Walson

An amateur astronomer named John Lenard Walson has been posting images and video of strange objects he has captured that are apparently orbiting the earth, and do not appear to be normal satellites and space junk, although becuase of the poor resolution of the images, we can’t be sure what they are. Walson claims that he invented a new method for viewing these objects with an amateur’s telescope.

Bill Knell of UFOguy has this to say about Walson:

John Lenard Walson’s contraption is unique and his methods as yet unproven, however, he has a substantial body of amazing images. He also has some fans in the scientific community. Astronomers and others from Academia have visited this photographic wunderkind and left impressed with his techniques. Sadly, his work may be the best-kept secret in Amateur Astronomy. I certainly haven’t seen anything about him in the main stream media.

Walson’s work has been featured in a film called “Interstellar” produced by Jose Escamilla (of “rods” fame.) While some may be scared off by Walson’s association with Escamilla, perhaps we should await better explanations for the strange images he has managed to capture. The ugly specter of money raises its ugly head when you find that Escamilla is charging for online viewings and downloads of the film.

Many people have seen what they say are anomalous objects in the sky using night vision equipment, but again, these sightings remain inconclusive.

P.S. I long ago concluded that the “rods” are insects that have been blurred by (relatively) slow shutter speeds.

Thanks to Mac Tonnies for the heads-up.

One of the pieces of this footage I’ve seen looks suspicously like a philips screwdriver head covered cumpled up cellophane.

Another piece seemed to be casting a shadow below itself… onto what? Space?

Until the techniques invoved are independently verified and similar images reproduced, I ask why won’t he tell people how this is done? And until that time I have to assume it’s all a hoax.

Wow! I’m intrigued. But uv777bk is right, we should be cautious.

Does this guy have an idea of the length of these things?

  3. Victor Says:

Providing the images are on the up-and-up, couldn’t some of them be Keyhole birds and other black platforms from various countries? Or do I beat the obvious about the head and shoulders?

  4. BenDoverEsq. Says:

Jose Escamilla- YIKES! Run for the freakin’ hills.

  5. Greg Bishop Says:

    uv777bk,

I tend to agree with you. If it’s a hoax, I wonder how long it will be before it’s revealed.

  6. Greg Bishop Says:

    RPJ,

I think I remember reading that they are about the size of the ISS, or larger.

  7. Greg Bishop Says:

    Victor,
If they are previously hidden deep space platforms, the fact that someone with little telescope can see them is pretty funny, but I believe not unprecendented in the history of camouflage research!
