Father William Gill Video

Gill sighting

Poking around on youtube today, I ran into a clip from a 1977 TV program featuring Father William Gill talking about his spectacular 1959 UFO sighting. I was struck by his matter-of-fact description and humble attitude. This of course does not mean that he is telling the “truth,” but I’m willing to believe him. Besides, the event was just so charming and strange that I feel better accepting it.

    Awesome find Greg.

Hey Greg, have you ever posted anything like a Top 10 cases list? I’d be interested to see which cases you consider the best.

Dude, it’s like we’re tuned to the same channel …

I’ve been meaning to tell you that you can get this entire documentary via download from various places. It’s actually quite good. I’d been posting clips from it all year before I realized they were from the same larger source.

What I’ve been wanting to ask you about is … STAN DEYO. I remember coming across his name years and years ago but I’ve never read anything of his. I think I’d always had the impression he was a huckster. However, watching the final sequence of this documentary and hearing him tell his story reminded me of your investigation of the Bennewitz Affair as well as the Lazar debacle. But Deyo came off as much more honest and reliable and most importantly … HE NAMED NAMES! And he was talking about the suppression of ElectroGravitics research DECADES before I ever even heard the term.

    His website is here:

It is certainly a great interview with Father Gill.

    Ben

I did a list for Fortean Times. Perhaps I should do one here.

    Miles,

A lot of people with strange ideas have lucid moments as well! Frank Stranges produced that “Phenomena 7.7″ film in 1967, and I don’t think he mentioned Val Thor in it.

I don’t know much about Deyo, but his site appears to be designed either to get people to visit though sensational headlines and bright colors, or he really believes it all (or both.)
