A UFO Report In Every Crowd

Has anyone else noticed this?

Bring up the UFO subject at a party, or in any informal conversation, and you are bound to have at least one person who will admit to at least some kind of sighting of an unexplained aircraft. A couple of weeks ago, I was debating the “reality” of UFOs with a pilot, and another quietly said that he had seen a “metallic globe” while flying along the California coast at about 5000 feet. He said that he passed it, but when he turned around for a better look, it flew away at a speed that he could not match (he was in an experimental propeller-driven ultralight.)

Yesterday, someone admitted to me that if he saw a UFO, he would be frightened. I said that there was no particular reason to be scared of UFOs. “I don’t mean scared of the sight of it” he said, and trailed off. I realized what he meant: The simple acknowledgment that there IS something that doesn’t fit in our mental categories would upset many people’s ordered view of things.

Maybe the “Ufology: What’s The Point?” post was a little hasty! Perhaps there WOULD be some sort of widespread spiritual or philosophical emergency if it was revealed that “we are not alone.” I still believe, however, that when everyone realized that things were pretty much the same, that they would accept the fact, and incorporate it. As someone once told me “People can get used to anything, even bombs falling around them.”

Perhaps the best goal of Ufology is to get people to realize that we share this world with another intelligence which is not human. There can be little doubt (at least in my mind) that this is the case.

I will be away this weekend for the Robert Anton Wilson memorial in Santa Cruz, so posts will resume on Monday (unless I can get a wi-fi somewhere.)

I think the matter of point is when someone sees a ufo fear is not the issue; unless, the vessel takes you for a study and a ride. Unless of course if your one in the crowd that has mocked someones’ experiance and accussed them of being drunk or on drugs. The fear may come if we find out there is a world wide group that has been using us as pawns and trading us like sides of beef. Ive meet many that have witnessed and not witnessed ufos. Many of the two groups say the same thing,” You have to be pretty stupid to think we are the only ones in this universe.” There is more proof that the nasty elite hide the truth and treat us common folk as slaves to fund their diddling with somethings they say do not exist. Who knows they may have advanced from making half human/half goats to who knows what. Now that would be scary.

I do not use any drugs, I don’t drink, I fact I don’t do anything but work.
I have seen a lot of unexplained sightings..You know what?I think all this technology they are making is to keep us busy from looking up and seeing those UFO’s and such.I also think it is a way to controll us.Computers and cell phones will only give them a way to know all that we buy, where we go,who we talk to,ect! ect!…I ask why are they doing that?what are they afriad of that we will talk about or see?It is not all Iraq either.I also wonder why they are building all this secret stuff in areas 51-62-54 and all the other million places and underground. Then don’t use it for the wars going on,like they say they are going to do.What about the flights out to space.Do we really know why they are up there? NO!….News…. They won’t tell us either! So I don’t think all of our sightings are just for nothing..They are doing stuff in secret for something els.Maybe a Possible Alien UFO war in the near future? As they say ..You can’t fight an enemy, untill you know what they have to fight with. They have some of the stuff like the new ray gun(Alien definetley!)and quantum travel to outer deep space and makeing an item be in two places at a time.Probably got some of that during the philidelphea project and who knows what else. All I can say is:Hold on folks.. It is going to get intersting in our future.I don’t care as long as they don’t bother me..and Aliens are welcomed on my earth..I Think we need them, as they do need us.

    Here some food for thought!
When we went out to land on the moon they said something like: This is man’s first leap for man kind etc. Well! maybe the Aliens said that too!We are just living on this earth and we are just as aliens as the aliens are.In-fact they probably think of us as the same way.I believe in God and guess he is actually just as Alien, because we can’t see him.We have no real idea of what he was ect..So as it is on earth it is out in space also.We are a mirror to everything, that may be out there in the realms of space and even if aliens where small and big eyed..they are our brothers and sisters. I just know there is more to what is in this Universe. We are not alone and never was!My only hope is, That the government does not do something to get a Universal Alien War started with anything could be out there, living there deep in space..because I don’t believe we would have the technology they would have to fight with.If they where here before our earth came alive,We will be in big trouble.
Maybe that is what the goverment is hiding from us and trying to build stuff that is techically and logically out of this world?I don’t think anyone can fight with that thought.

    sasdave,

I don’t think many people that much care that they are pawns in a bigger game, as long as they can buy DVDs, play video games, and waste their time and money in Las Vegas. A symptom that they may know what is really going on is the phenomenon I refer to as “desperately trying to have fun.”

  5. Greg Bishop Says:

    Diane,

Your posts sort of confuse me, but personally, I have no proof of what “aliens” “are.” I do think that whatever extra-human intelligence is out there (I don’t necessarily mean in outer space) is just as confusing to those in power as they are to the rest of us. The elite don’t know what to do with it, but they do know how to manipulate ideas and beliefs to their advantage. Some games in this area are legitimate uses of power, but many are definitely not.

    Hi Greg and all,

Back at the beginning of the 1990s I was working at the computer game company Origin Systems, Inc.

At that time the infamous Roper Poll* on “alien abductions” claimed that approximately 1 in 50 persons exhibit signs of alien abduction. While most rational people concluded that the poll and the conclusions drawn were flawed, the one thing everyone could take away from it was that most people have had some sort of strange experience and many people know someone who has had a UFO sighting.

While working at Origin Systems I was very outspoken about my interest in UFOs, Forteana, etc. and had been befriended independently by 3 people in the company who felt that they were likely abductees. This was a company of 150 people at the time. So the Roper Poll seemed to be somewhat accurate in it’s estimation of 1 in 50 people exhibiting symptoms of abduction.

But one must wonder, were there others among the Origin employees who had experienced even STRANGER phenomena than was included in the Roper Poll. And would they have been less inclined to report those experiences to anyone, as Dr. Jacques Vallee concluded years ago when he stated that the higher the strangeness level of UFO close encounters, the less likely people are to report those experiences, even to close family, friends and loved ones.
