Yeah, a CSICOP Convention or a Raelian Convention. Which would you rather attend?

I've always maintained that "believers" are a lot more fun at parties.

Greg:

Your right any band that would play at a CSICOP convention would have to have humorless dorks as members, which means they probably wouldn't use any of the band names I listed. They would probably call themselves something like THE ALL UFO SIGHTINGS CAN BE EXPLAINED AS EITHER NATURAL PHENOMENA, MISIDENTIFICATION OF KNOWN OBJECTS OR HOAXES BAND. Of course their front man would have to exude arrogance.

Adam, you're correct. Rundgren was in the very similiarly themed band, Utopia. Both bands were sort of space rock bands. While I'm a fan of Rundgren's music, both him and Lennon took themselves way too seriously. I wish the public would get a clue and figure out these self-styled crusading rock stars are just musicians and not a bit wiser than any of the rest of us.

Those bands would play at the CSICOP convention, and they'd probably be a bunch of humorless dorks. Perhaps.

Carlos,

Unless it was in another dimension, I'm fairly certain Todd Rundgren was never in UFO. Rundgren did, however, have a famous feud in the 70's with John Lennon, and Lennon of course witnessesed a UFO in NYC from the roof of a haunted house, known as The Dakota Building, which just so happened to be the very same place where Rosemary's Baby was born. Which shows that Rundgren wasn't too far removed from a UFO, just one degree of separation. And my rant also shows that John Lennon's UFO sighting may have somehow been associated with some sort of conjuration (i.e. occult arts) in that the craft in question was associated with the aforementioned haunted house, The Dakota...Now, what was I talking about??? Oh yeah, I'm fairly certain that Rundgren was never with UFO...

UFO wasn't big here in the States but was pretty large in Europe. I couldn't understand it's lack of popularity considering it had Todd Rundgren as a front man ahead of some fairly serious musicians. The band survived well into the video age. Let's not forget Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen.
