Apparently, all we have to do is stop thinking and writing about it!

Mark,

Well, spend some time in the area and we'll get out there!

You're right about the twirling lights, and although rare, white light lasers do exist. also, the report states that the lights were "above" the clouds. It's not clear whether they were seen there for the whole time, or if they were in clear sky for awhile.

Richelle,

What with my undecided ideas about what abductions could be, I don't know what would happen if I encountered any non-human entities.

You're right--they've got my attention, so why would they waste any effort on me?

aliencontactee,

Sorry to read about your experiences. I don't wish to go through anything similar. In fact the vast majority of sightings are simply that--just sightings--so I don't think I'm hoping for any more!

Once when my parents went to a trip that i refused to go, they got to see something really weird on the highway; which of course pissed me off immensely, since I'm the one obsessed wth thse things.

There's and old saying in spanish:

"Dios le da pan al que no tiene dientes".

Translation (God gives bread to the TOOTHLESS)

I feel your pain bud :-)

Too bad you missed out Greg though the last description – white lights were seen “twirling in formation going around and around, connecting and stretching out and back” – sounds like a classic spot or laser light show to me. The others sound more interesting though.

Perhaps we should do a dry-lake skywatch when I'm in LA next month!

Greg,
I also wondered if I would ever have my own sighting after so many years of reading and studying the subject. Finally in 1996 I had my first unmistakable UFO encounter and have had several subsequent sightings since. So keep looking up you may see one yet.

Interesting to note what Sgt. Robbins said in the link you provided: "I guess it could be an unmanned aerial vehicle, but those things are tiny."
So--an admission they just randomly send unmanned aerial vehicles around? I wonder if they resemble the 'drones.'

How frustrating--I think you do deserve one. But, remember what (I think I read it in angels and aliens?) has been said..that daimonic type spontaeous encounters may happen mostly to those who are somewhat out of touch with that realm. Not that a UFO sighting is necessarily otherworldly. (and in light of the above comment, even assuming the abduction scenario, why would that make one NOT want to see a UFO?)

WoW! Whine, whine, whine. I wish I could say that I missed them. Near Victorville, at both Soggy and Anderson Dry lakes my husband and myself were both abducted in 1972 while camping at a desert race. Dry Lake campers seem to be their forte'. Yea, it's a great place to find groups of people out in the middle of no where with no moon and a pitch black sky. I lived in Apple Valley off Hwy18 about a mile from Victorville. I was again abducted after departing Apple Valley in 1988 on a weekend trip to Las Vegas. Truly and honestly, the biggest mistake I ever made in my entire life was living in the Victorville area and so I left, but it was too late. And you want to see a UFO?! 'So he thinks'. Gee, maybe you should call up the Prophet Yahwah ** she says kiddingly **. He seems to be calling them down again. lol I read all to often where some yearn to see a UFO. I would give my right arm, no both arms to have never experienced such. I want to be someone who says they've never seen a UFO. Aliens are up front and personal these days for a reason. And you already know that they don't have to go low to view any kind of military establishment. And, I know it's not for reasons of abduction either since I believe that abductions have ceased. Well, the kind of abductions we're most familiar with that is. So why are they still present and accounted for? They're deal is all different now. No Greg, you want to be as far away from them as possible right now. The highly lit metropolis of L.A. County is exactly where you want to be.
