Spielberg To Launch Online Paranormal Community
The disclosure people are going to have a field day with this one.
Rumors are flying at the TechCrunch site that Steven Spielberg is about to launch a Facebook/ MySpace-type community for those with paranormal experinces. Considering the director/ producer’s history of films about UFOs and other weirdness, the rumor may have legs. I can’t help but think that the site will also be a great repository of ideas for TV and movie scenarios as well.

No doubt Greg. In the few discussions I’ve had with movie execs over the years, the general theme of the conversation from them has been “got any strange stories you can tell me”.
We bust our butt on the concepts, and Hollywood rakes in the millions from them…
Kind regards,
Greg

So, if someone happens to share on this on-line community a really weird and cool paranormal experience, does that persone LOSE the rights to that story in case Spielberg decides to use it on a movie or Tv project?
I have nothing but respect and admiration for Steve-o, but this idea seems kind of weird.

Sounds like trolling for ideas, and who gets the money? I’ll observe from a distance, most likely.

Greg,
A few conspiracy researchers have said the same thing to me. Time to get into the TV/ movie biz, I think.

RPJ,
I suppose we’ll have to wait and see what the conditions are for posting on the site. There may be an implied release form. Watch out.
