Robert Crumb Alien Art

From Loren Coleman, an example of Art God Robert Crumb’s work for FATE magazine back in 2002. For an excellent intro the artist, watch Crumb, the biofilm by Terry Zwigoff.
The cover text is interesting. I’d sure like to read about the “KGB and the Occult Foo Fighters,” as well as the remote sensing results obtained from them.
What’s that pith helmet-looking thing on the alien’s head? Looks like he stopped a couple of doors down the hallway and stole a kid’s pajamas too. Great stuff.
SubGenius co-founder and artist Hal Robins once produced a cover for my old magazine, The Excluded Middle which looked like a 1950s horror comic. I loved it, and years later he presented the original to me as a gift.

Lots of art showing up on the site lately, huh?

Crumb did another cover for Fate that showed a big bosomed female bigfoot (Patty?) in a tight micro-mini and heels, sashaying down the street with nipples athrust and looking decidedly “Ho”-like (which some readers found “objectionable”). Me, I thought it was a hoot.

Bill,
I think Loren also did a feature on two of Crumb’s cryptozoological FATE covers over at crytomundo.
