Retro UFO Conference April 21-22
Last year’s Retro UFO conclave at the Integratron in Landers, California was a great success and a hell of a lot of fun. I spoke on the history of the Contactee movement and my good friend Adam Gorightly’s talk was entitled “Were the Early Contactees Ritual Magicians?” I wish I’d done that one.
Other speakers included Bill Hamilton, whose talk was billed as his last public appearance, ever, and the Rev Robert Short, one of the few original contactees left. Surprisingly, SERPO cheerleader Bill Ryan was there, as well as National UFO Conference organizer Lisa Davis, and Guy Malone, manager of this year’s Roswell convention, and host of Live From Roswell, mentioned by Nick in his latest post. I was Guy’s guest a couple of weeks ago.
This guy was there too.

While there, you can tour the Integratron, see lots of friendly California weirdos, and take a side trip to Giant Rock, where George Van Tassel held the Interplanetary Spacecraft Conventions from 1953 to 1976.
While I’m probably not going to be speaking there this year unless someone drops off the scheduled speakers’ list, I’m certainly going to attend. Check out the Retro UFO website for all the details.
