I remind you that the 2nd annual Retro UFO conference is taking place this weekend (April 21-22) in Landers, California. This year’s guests include such luminaries as contactee Bob Short and the Rev. Frank Stranges, author of such classic UFO contact books as Stranger at the Pentagon and my personal favorite, Flying Saucerama. Infamous Ufological huckster and researcher Wendelle Stevens will be speaking as well. Adam Gorightly will be performing his music on various instruments, including a theremin.

The conclave will be held right next to the Integratron and just down the road from the old Giant Rock airport. If you’re there Sunday afternoon, there may be an unusual IFO landing near (or at least flying over) the conference grounds, weather permitting. I will say no more!

   Damn! I wish I could get there! Since the first Retro gig was announced for last year, I’ve wanted to go.

   Short is a real larger than life character. He was still as enthusiastic as ever at this year’s Laughin, NV event.

   Yes, I had the Rev. Short give me a psychic reading a few years ago at one of the Laughlin conferences. It was pretty unimpressive, but the novelty was worth the $20!
