Greg’s Occasional Pic(s) of the Moment #7
It’s been awhile since I posted any photos, so here’s a few to make up.
Paul Kimball (producer/ director of Best Evidence: The 10 Best UFO Sightings) and the notably sane blog The Other Side Of Truth, and Kris Lee McBride (actress and narrator of Best Evidence) have been my guests here in Los Angeles for a few days. Since Kris had never been to Hollywood (and this is supposedly a mecca for thespians) we visited Hollywood first. Another part of the L.A. scene is the beach, so we bodysurfed near the Venice Boardwalk. I hadn’t touched the water past my toes in five years or more, but it can get that way when you live near the ocean.
Paul realized one of his dreams when we went to see the Dodgers whup ass on the San Francisco Giants on Saturday night at Dodger Stadium. The score was tied into the 10th inning when Luis Gonzalez produced a pinch-hit double to win the game–a perfect ending to a pretty good contest.
On Monday, Paul wanted to see George Van Tassel’s Integratron (in his words “A required pilgimmage for all UFO students”) so we drove for two hours out into the Mojave Desert and videotaped a couple of test segments there and at nearby Giant Rock. On the way back, we all gawked at Desert Christ Park and the Cabazon dinosaurs.
On Saturday, they’ll be returning to Canada, with some good memories of California, I would wager. I’m glad I get to know people like Paul and Kris, and I have UFOs (whatever they may be) to thank for that, even though I’ve never seen one.
