That insight appears more and more on the mark as the years have passed. The Ufological field is much like the parable of the man who mad a claim on some land with the expectation of finding a large gold strike on it. So he spends many years searching, digging and panning, uncovering the occasional nugget here and there, but never "the big strike." After wasting away his money and his life in a fruitless search he sells the land for pennies on the dollar and abandons his dream, a broken, bitter and frustrated man. The new owner, however, has purchased the land because he sees the diamonds, the emeralds the silver, and all of the other precious stones and metals with which the land is overflowing; wealth beyond measure that the original own walked right past every day because his focus was so set on gold that he missed all the rest that literally surrounded him. I believe the UFO field has genuine gold, but there is also silver, platinum and precious gems of all descriptions. It only requires us to keep our eyes (and minds) open so that we don't pass them by in a myopic search for just one thing.
