The story is nothing but a crude hoax, the body nothing but a rubber costume. The most amazing thing about this is the lengths to which some people would pursue their 15 minutes of fame, even at their risk of their reputation, not to mention their jobs and maybe even their freedoms. I know we all would like to forget this sad incident as quickly as possible, but the debunkers won't let us for MANY years to come. And maybe that's for the best in this case. Alas, our worse fears became true. The story is nothing but a crude hoax, the body nothing but a rubber costume.

The most amazing thing about this is the lengths to which some people would pursue their 15 minutes of fame, even at their risk of their reputation, not to mention their jobs and maybe even their freedoms.

I know we all would like to forget this sad incident as quickly as possible, but the debunkers won’t let us for MANY years to come. And maybe that’s for the best in this case.

Seriously, you make people fly in to California, and you only present two lame photos, one of them your average "blobsquatch" of which you can find hundreds of them all around the Web? That's it? That is worthy of a Press conference? I can fairly predict one sure thing that will come out of this whole mess: That Matt fellow will NEVER wear a police uniform. In fact I think that's what he had in mind since the beginning of this Bogus Bigfoot Body Bondoogle.
