Aliens Or “Imps” Seen In Argentina

From South America comes an interesting story of small beings walking around in front of surprised residents. The continent has always been a source of strange stories that don’t conform to the ufological cultural imperialism of the U.S.
The city of San Luis, Argentina decided to trim a 100-year-old eucalyptus tree that was blocking motorists’ views and creating a hazard. This apparently disturbed some previously unseen residents.
From Scott Corrales’ Inexplicata:
While the trimming operations took place on the avenue, adjacent to a stream, traffic was interrupted and once restored, locals driving through the area, lighting it with their car headlights, claimed to have seen the strange figures. They reportedly saw “some little men coming out of the amputated tree and walking single file toward the library. Most witnesses did not offer details, but one woman described their clothing as having a brownish hue,” said Cecillia de Gabrele, an employee at the library who fielded several phone calls at her workplace from locals who sought confirmation for what they had seen nearby. However, neither the employee nor her coworkers noticed anything unusual.
Cecilia added that for many years there have been stories of “imp” sightings in that district.
Some readers may recall the stories of fairy lore (well-documented in the excellent book Fairy Faith In The Celtic Countries by Walter Yeeling Evans Wentz) and how people living in these areas would sometimes ask permission from the “little people” before disturbing trees and hillocks where they were supposed to live. Maybe the “imps” were going to the library to look up ways to sue the city government for mangling their home.
I hope that Mac Tonnies will cover the intersection of some of these beliefs with the activities and interaction with ufonauts in his forthcoming book on the cryptoterrestrial hypothesis.

Argentina is also home to the near mythical Patagonian Giants who were described as 7′-15′ and having red hair. While no true giant’s skeletons have been found, some skeletons exceeding 6′6″ have been found and considering the average European interloper were 5′4″-5′6″ in the 16th century, the native Patagonians would seem huge. Patagonia is still a mysterious a place today with numerous reports of strange lights in the sky and giant creatures being reported in the more remote regions.

I have an idea that at times ‘natural DMT’ is somehow triggered - maybe a tiny insect , spores….
See what i’m sayin’ ? They were messing with the tree, they ’stirred something up’, insects or plants or
something about the old tree ‘released’ a chemical or whatever….
but no one ever asks, (might be leading the witnesses of course),
was there an unusual smell in the air ?
Did everyone have an ice cream from Joe’s cart?
(check it out,smell of sulfur for example…
In this case, i’m wondering if there was possibly
the smell of cookies (that’d point to “elves” -Keebler out-sourcing?…yet their clothes (uniforms?) suggests to me, Brownies….
For crgintx, National Geographic had a show about the ‘giants’ >connected to ‘Giant Sloths’, but wasn’t paying attention….

i’m serious, mentioned this to Nick awhile back >
I’m suggesting that a possible ’cause’ of
‘high strangeness’ events could be from ’something in the air’ (note how often sulfur > rotten eggs > or some other pungent smell has been mentioned,
which suggests something has been ‘fermenting’….
at the same time, how many would mention this as
relevant?)
‘Natural DMT’ (or the ergot of LSD) released into the air, or perhaps something which ‘triggers’ our ‘natural DMT’ through a ‘chain reaction’.
I have no personal experience with DMT- but i’m suggesting it’s possible something ‘airborn’ could produce in humans a sudden intense ‘altered consciousness’. Perhaps as simple as methane (natural gas concentrated in an area causing a ‘lack of oxygen’ perhaps combined with a ‘catalyst’ ) induces a temporary ’state’ similar to the moment we ‘fall asleep/awake’.
I remember an emergency room Dr. who related a story of 2 individuals (at different times) who told the same exact story of ‘little people’ (somewhere in the South -and had nothing to do with ‘drugs’, but was related to a rare medical condition….?
why the same ‘hallucination’ ?).
As for ‘the Brownies’ > Colin Wilson tells an interesting story
about them in his early book on “The Occult”.
I’d also add to the nexus here all those events Vallee mentions involving ‘an altered consciousness’ noted either before or after a UFO event….an exposure to the ’cause’ (like a drug) may take effect hours later-think about a walk through the woods, first you might notice the smells, yet slowly u give it no attention, yet you’re still enveloped in the same atmosphere….
