“Living Alien” Video To Be Shown Today
Like a scene out of Signs, a video that the promoter claims is of a “live alien” will be shown to Denver City Officials today. Jeff Peckman, who reportedly still lives with his parents, announced the showing in a press release on May 29th. Peckman made the news on May 8th when he proposed that an 18 member “Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission” be set up by the Denver authorities in order to deal with future contact with aliens.
From the Rocky Mountain News:
Peckman, 54, said the video was among the reasons he was “compelled” to launch the proposed ballot initiative, which has generated news coverage as far as South Africa. “It shows an extraterrestrial’s head popping up outside of a window at night, looking in the window, that’s visible through an infrared camera,” he said. The alien is about 4 feet tall and can be seen blinking, Peckman said this month. In a statement, Peckman said “other related credible evidence” proving aliens exist will be shown at Friday’s news conference, too.
Peckman will not release the video to the public becuase he has a deal with producer Stan Romanek to include the segment in a documentary that will be sold to TV stations in the near future. Romanek claims lifelong abductions and has been selling his videos online for a couple of years now. A commenter on the Above Top Secret forums described the videos as “borderline hoaxes.” Romanek’s site looks like a mishmash of UFO-related news items and links to other videos about “our place in the universe” etc. as well as a blurry picture of something blocking part of a bathroom door.
On his home page, Romanek states: “Within the next year or so the detailed scientific evidence and a non-fiction book called, “Messages: The Stan Romanek Story” and documentary film is expected to be released to the world soon.” [Grammar as original.]
Something non-human may be interacting with Romanek, but the circus he has created around himself sure doesn’t do anything for his credibility, and neither do the overt efforts to make money from his claims. The Denver City Council must be pretty tired of Peckman and his buddy these days.

Sigh… I’m not even going to comment except that I almost threw a frying pan at my TV when I watched the movie “Signs”.
The best part of that movie was the crop circle in a “corn” field. I’m guessing this was an “in” joke but I could be wrong (in England and Europe corn means cereal, not maize).

Apparently, this is a frame from the alleged video, with the… er… head of the alien “popping up”.
I think the image is self-explanatory, folks.

There are certain elements that the serious UFO researcher can tell, in an instant, that a hoax is being perpetrated.
As soon as I read the part that said the alien was only a head, no body, and that said head was “popping up outside of a window at night,” well, that’s what did it for me.
Now, if that alien was sliding through the wall…
But even with obvious hoaxes such as this, we can learn something interesting about the real subject, to wit:
Why do so many witnesses of actual UFOs have their common sense disconnected in some manner, or turned off, so that they almost to a person neglect to take pictures of the fascinating object they’re watching?
Sure, there are UFO images (some, like the recent Drones, too good for believability). But over and over, as in the 8:00 PM Phoenix Lights event (not the later 10:00 PM flare drop), witnesses are too stunned to even grab their cell phone and snap a jpeg.
Or, as some witnesses suggest, they are hypnotized. Probably a better show than will have been seen in Denver tonight.

I think part of the reason is the sense of “disconnect” the human being experiences when dealing with extraordinnary events that go beyond the range of the usual and mundane.
For example, on 2004 many of the people that were present on the beach when the tsunami hit, were awestruck by the incredible sight of the water receding and exposing the sea bed with rocks and fish jumping and suffocating; if they had reacted in time and ru to safety many would have survived. Simmilar are the cases of people experiencing a car crash, or any other dangerous experience, sometimes things seem to move in “slow-motion” but in all of them the experiencer feels more as an observer than as an actual participant; the brain almost refusing to acknowledge the reality of what’s being perceived, resulting in the sense of “This can’t be happening to me”.
You almost want to reach for the remote and change the channel, you know?
So maybe this phenomena is fully aware of the natural response of humans to extreme situations, and makes full use of it.

I’m sorry, but anyone who is selling extraterrestrial footage sounds like a fake to me. If you truly believe in something, you would want to show it no matter what. Not wait to make some documentary and then sell it.
