UFO News
I thought that, for a change, I’d make today a kind of news-round-up day, highlighting some of the stories that are hitting the Net right now. If you’re interested in me making one day per week a regular round-up of what’s currently going down in Ufology let me know.
Coming soon on the Sci-Fi Channel - from the makers of Ghost-Hunters - is a new reality-type series titled UFO Hunters. I know very little about the show, aside from what is available via this link, but it may prove to be an interesting show.
This is an intriguing article concerning a guy who relates the details of some interesting UFO-related events and encounters. Someone in the UFO field needs to interview him.

But you were ON that UFO Hunters show!
January 11th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
I was??? That must have been a one-off documentary then with the same name, as I haven’t done any mainstream TV filming for at least a year (maybe 18 months), aside from a couple of regional, cable things.
The “UFO Hunters” in the post above is a brand new series that follows a team, on the road, as they travel around the USA in Ghost-Hunters style.
I sometimes forget which shows I’ve been on and their names! LOL.

I will look into this ufo show mystery. I have bad cable; I don’t even get sci-fi, so I know it wasn’t on that channel. But I recently saw a History Channel doc called “UFO Hunters” that I have never ever seen before, so I assumed it was new. You were on it and they made you (and everyone) say “that’s why I’m a UFO Hunter!”
History channel has also been touting an upcoming (in feb., i think…) new show called UFO Hunters. I thought it was weird that they had already shown an episode of it, since the show hasn’t even premiered yet. I suppose it’s possible that history channel is showing commercials for a sci fi channel show, or they just happen to have a show of the same name. like i said, I’ll investigate.

Here’s a link to the promo History channel has been running:

The UFO Hunters thing I saw with you on it must have been an old episode of another or independent HS program.

Richelle:
I remember that show now when we had to say “and that’s why I’m a UFO hunter.”
It was filmed sometime in 2005. At the end of 2005 we moved back to England, so I know it definitely wasn’t filmed after the start of 2006.
That’s weird though that there should be 2 shows with identical names.

Thanks for the link Richelle. It’s definitely strange though that 2 shows with the same names should be so similar.

I like the weekly roundup thing….
January 12th, 2008 at 7:23 am
Yes, please, Nick. I like the idea of a weekly roundup too. And if you were able to include some stuff from the UK that would be great

Richelle:
I’ve done a bit of digging ths morning and this is really weird. As per the link in the post above, the Sci-Fi Channel are launching a series called “UFO Hunters.”
Well…if you go to this link:
http://www.history.com/minisite.do?content_type=mini_home&mini_id=54840
you’ll see that the History Channel are also coming out with a series called “UFO Hunters” which I’m presuming is a follow-on from the “UFO Hunters” single-documentary they made a few yeara ago.
That’s kind of odd that 2 series would launch on different channels with the same name!

K:
Will do re UK stories

Thumbs up on the weekly round Nick.
January 13th, 2008 at 4:35 am
ooops, that should read roundup.
January 13th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
Nick, I like the weekly round up. I do that on my blog as well; it’s a nice way of letting others know at a glance things they may have missed. I know I can’t possibly get to all I want to get to and being reminded of links and stories encourages me to check them out.
January 14th, 2008 at 8:12 pm
I think it’s really weird too–If anything you would think they would want to avoid the kind of inevitable confusion of the kind it created with this post, at the beginning, when you were referring to one thing, and I assumed it was another. I suppsoe they are trying to cash in on this current militia, takedown, black ops style kind of thing that’s popular within ghost ‘hunting’ and the whole manly man idea that surrounds it. But the weirdest thing is–you KNOW it has to be purposeful–I would think there would be no accidents with this type of thing.

I’m against the weekly roundup. (just kidding…)

Could be worse.
Could be two shows called “The UFO Whisperer.” (:^D)
