UFO Films and the Official World
Here’s an odd one: what sounds like official interest in - and concern about - a forthcoming UFO film.
In some ways it kind of reminds me of the chapter I wrote for the just-published edition (no. 13) of The Anomalist: Intermediate States.
The chapter in question is titled The Flying Saucer That Never Was and tells the story of a film-maker named Mikel Conrad who, in the late 1940s, became the subject of an official Air Force investigation when rumors began to circulate to the effect that the film, titled The Flying Saucer, would feature real footage of UFOs in flight…

Well, even if he was forced to change the title of the movie, one thing is certain: you sure can’t buy publicity like that!
