Bill:

If it actually happens it will be intriguing to see if and how things are changed or stay the same. Definitely unknown territory!

LOL!!!! Alan, you're a scream! From one Ilya Kuryakin fan to another, Bravo!

Might be risky being "Solo". Remember, Ian Fleming gave them that name to use (as he did "April Dancer"), but he used it himself, first (without the "Napoleon" first name). "Mr. Solo" was the gangster who had a "pressing engagement" with the auto-crusher in "Goldfinger".

I, too, hope these Hollywood types have enough sense to keep close to the book...though they may well re-name you in the movie. Let's also do hope that "Fighting Girls Monthly" (or whatever) stays in the picture....and by NO means should they drop Mother Sarah! That old crone has become an icon for me!!!

Nick, apropos of influentiality, I have great hopes this prospective 'Napoleon Dynamite' version of your 'Three Men..." will lead to a deep sea change in public perceptions that paranormalists can be cool, rock and roll flavoured blokes, instead of the usual nerdy geeks - if they don't deviate too far from the book, but even more importantly, don't deviate too far from you!

The clue to whether things're go'n'o work out is if they start renaming your characters: will they make you, for instance, a 'Napoleon Solo'*, a 'Napoleon Bonoparte', or a 'Napoleon Bonehead'?

Personally, I suspect you're a bit of all three!

I hazard a guess that there are hidden clues to the UFO mystery in this book as well. Steiger's book is one I haven't read, but his ideas have been mentioned numerous times before and after the publicaiton of "Worlds Before Our Own." I am intrigued and will obtain a copy.

Yep, every bit as much a pivotal event as Frank Edwards' "Stranger Than Science" in paperback (which post-dated, but was more accessible than the books of Fort). Steiger has always been a good and thought-provoking read. Had one of these years ago and made the big loan-out mistake. never saw it again. Time to re-load.
