UFOs Over Findhorn

Check out the latest online additions to the Fortean Times website, including Andy Roberts’ article Saucers Over Findhorn, which begins thus: “Scotland’s Findhorn Community is known as one of the great New Age success stories - a small-scale experiment that grew, like the miraculous giant organic vegetables that are part of the legend, from humble beginnings into a world-renowned spiritual centre. But…the real origins of Findhorn - and a missing chapter of British ufological history - lie in the heady days of the flying saucer contactee movement.”

This is a genuinely interesting article that tells a story that is as eye-opening as it is little-known by today’s ufologists.

Hmm…I thought at one point they attributed the large growth of the veggies to faeries? I sorta kinda remember reading that somewhere…

I believe the findhorn guys did claim contact with nature spirits, probably termed faeries. Interesting that their mondoveggies have been ‘debunked’ by some claiming the same sort of giant breeds can be produced by using manure–but as everything else, it all seems to be perspective/belief/experience. What is the apparatus within manure that lends its magic, and how many ways can that be described effectively and honestly? The findhorn story is complex, and even more interesting now that a ufological narrative is associated within its lovely onionlike self. Thanks for the link.
