UFOs Coming In 2007
This year is now almost over; so, I thought it would be an ideal time to tell you about a few notable things that will be of definite interest to the UFO community in 2007.
First and foremost from my perspective, at least, will be Mac Tonnies’ book on Crypto-terrestrials. The theory and premise that Mac is following (and from our correspondence I know he has some great data on this) is that many UFO sightings may not be the result of aliens visiting the Earth. Rather, they may be examples of encounters with a hidden, indigenous civilization that co-exists with us right here on Earth, in stealth, and that, paradoxically, is in many ways far in advance of us, yet in other ways is less so - and is perhaps even in decline. This is likely to be the most talked-about book of the year. Let’s hope he finishes it in time for a 2007 release!
Keith Chester’s Strange Company: UFOs in World War II is likely to be a strong contender, too. And it’s about time that we had a good, in-depth study of wartime UFO activity from someone who knows his subject matter well. I met Keith a few years ago - purely by chance - at the National Archives, College Park, Maryland, when we were both there doing research, and we’ve stayed in touch since. Put this one on your wish-list.
I also strongly recommend Dr. Robert Wood’s forthcoming In Search of the Alien Viruses that I have worked on extensively with Bob and that is likely to provoke deep interest, controversy and debate. If you are even remotely interested in the controversies surrounding Roswell, MJ12 and crashed UFOs in general, you are going to want to read this book.
My good friend Jon Downes will have a new book out next year that expands on his 1998 study of the Chupacabras (which was titled Only Fools and Goat-suckers) and that will focus on an expedition that the two of us made to Puerto Rico in 2004, crashed UFO rumors in circulation on the island, and the latest news on Puerto Rico’s most famous vampire.
What can I say? Buy, buy, buy!
