Most of you, I’m sure, will remember the National Press Club UFO event of last November. Former Arizona Governor Fyfe Symington moderated a panel of individuals at the National Press Club Ballroom, where a range of pilots, people in the aviation industry, and retired military and defense personnel discussed the UFO controversy.

Those who participated included Nick Pope, formerly of the British Ministry of Defense; General Wilfried De Brouwer, former Deputy Chief of Staff, Belgian Air Force; Jim Penniston, USAF, Ret., who was involved in the 1980 “UFO landing” at Rendlesham Forest, England; and John Callahan, Chief of Accidents and Investigations for the FAA in the 1980s.

   Oddly enough this may actually have changed some attitudes towards the subject - even in the media.

   For now, at least

   Thanks for the heads-up, Nick. Hopefully, this event will promote sensible and objective discussion of the UFO issue in the media, instead of the usual sniggers and disparaging comments.
