The name of Gray Barker is one that - unfortunately - may mean little to many of today’s ufologists, and particularly those that have entered the subject in the last decade or so. But back in the halcyon days of ufology he was a major force - with his finger on the pulse of a whole range of assorted weirdness.

Barker died in 1984 and today his huge collection of files is housed at the West Virginia-based Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library. For more details (and a video, too), check out this latest story on Barker, which states: “In the 1950’s, UFOs, monsters and ghost stories were part of Americana, and Clarksburg native Gray Barker was right in the middle of it.”

Barker’s classic book, They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers deserves to be read by one and all.
