Saucer Spies
For those interested, a new review of my latest book on UFOs:Â On the Trail of the Saucer Spies can be found here. The reviewer is Steve Hammon, a graduate of Ohio University, and the author of two novels that tell the story of a U.S. Intelligence and Joint-Service military research team that investigates unusual phenomena.

Nick…Did a read of the review on your newest book it sounds great. Regarding the mention of the huge triangle vessel mentioned. Me and 4 others witnessed one of the same around the early 80’s. Its speed and actions in movement were surprizing at most. Many of my friends believed it to be a secret government craft. Yet, it wasn’t the same look of the stealth craft, Ive seen pictures of. It was a perfect triangle shape(black)and very large. This vessel was first seen to the left of the house and traveled straight over the house and proceeded to the right parrellal my street. The intresting thing was it had a high pitch sound covered with a low hum. It wasn’t that loud and it went very slow. When it travelled from the left to the right of the house the tone and sound did not change. The reason I’ve come to believe it wasn’t a government craft was this. As the craft was about a quarter of a block away 3 of the guys proceeded in the house. My brother was about to follow when out of the blue I pulled him back and asked him lets just think… come back. It was now about a half a block away when we just stood there in silence thinking come back, come back. We had only been doing this for a couple seconds when half a block away this craft’s tone all of a sudden changed as if to slow down even more. Young and unknowledgable and scared we both ran into the house. Regarding the men in black, there was no visit by them; eventhough, I’ve have possiblly have seen their car years later. In my research I have met many people that have seen these men in black. Only one of them had a weird experiance of seeing a ufo before seeing these mystery gents. Some governments are known to be copy cat killers; etc, so why not scare people from the truth with copy cat men in black. Truth is becoming even harder to attain as hollywood and false media lay the lines to falsehood. No disrespect intended to the truth seekers, the redford files and bloggers/bloggets.

Nick,
The reason I really like your book is that it discusses not only the possible weird reasons for official interest in the UFO subject, but also the people and personalities that make the field almost more interesting than the saucers themselves! The story about the British “hoax” that tried to ensnare you, Jenny Randles, et. al is worth the price alone.

Very interesting. In fact, the more you dig into it, the more you find that there are numerous Flying Triangle type reports that pre-date the large wave that began in the late 1980s. There are a handful at the National Archives in the old Blue Book files that date back to the late 40s.

Yeah those were two of the weird things I found as I was digging into the surveillance angle: (a) that the surveillance was actually very seldom for the reasons that we think “the governnment” watches us; and (b) most of those who have been watched were done so because they were doing things in a very unconventional manner - such as Matt Williams, Matt Bevan, me, Robin Cole. It’s when you start thinking outside the conventional box to get data is when people in the official world really start to take notice, I’ve found.

Nick… How true. The oldest personal experiance told to me regarding a triangle vessel happened sometime in the early 60’s was in england. The fellow was very young he ended up seeing a huge storm cloud; something huge was in the middle of it as he was tying up his row boat as the winds were increasing. All he could remember was freaking. So scared he remembers crapping his pants and running home. When he got home he remembers going to clean up finding no crap in his pants; but, a triangle shape of skin missing from his arm. He was going to allow me to photograph this mark; but, changed his mind later for unknown reasons. Ive heard of circle skin grafts; but, triangle ones? Have you encountered in your research more triangle or circle type grafts from abducties.

There are reports of triangular marks on the skin of abductees, and odd markings. In fact, most abduction type books are filled with such accounts.
It’s interesting that you refer to this in a Flying Triangle case, because in my “Saucer Spies” book I have an interview with a guy who saw an FT in the UK (North Yorks) in the 60s, and afterwards his body broke out in weird marks, and he received a series of very strange phone calls asking if any unusual people had been to visit him.
The report on thise case is in the Ministry of Defense files at the National Archives.
