This just in from Scottish UFO researcher Malcolm Robinson. There aren’t that many big UFO conferences held in the UK nowadays, so if you’re around in October, you may want to attend.

Last Roswell UFO Witness Visits UK

Dr Jesse Marcel Jnr, the last surviving witness to have handled the wreckage of the object that crashed at Roswell in 1947, is making a rare visit to the UK. The US Army initially said that they had recovered the wreckage of a “flying disc”. Within 24 hours they issued a retraction and stated that it had been a weather balloon.

Jesse Jnr is the son of the late Major Jesse Marcel, base intelligence officer at the military base at Roswell at the time of the crash. Major Marcel was the man who recovered the debris and took it back to the base. His son was 11 at the time, but Jesse Snr woke him up to show him some of the debris, which he described as metallic grey in colour, with I-beams adorned with strange symbols that looked like
hieroglyphs. His father told him he was the first person to see writing from another world.

He will be speaking at a conference organised by UFO DATA magazine, to be held at the Parkside Hotel in Pontefract on 20 and 21 October. Other speakers include Nick Pope, who used to investigate UFOs for the Ministry of Defence and Don Schmitt, best-selling author who is one of the world’s leading experts on the Roswell incident.

Conference organiser Russel Callaghan said: “This conference will bring together the world’s leading experts on Roswell, together with the last man to handle the UFO debris. This year saw the 60th anniversary of the crash and there are very few first-hand witnesses still alive. This may be our last chance to find out what really happened at Roswell”.

The Roswell crash occurred on or around 2 July 1947. The exact date is disputed. It is the world’s most famous and controversial UFO incident. Earlier this year a sworn affidavit was published, written by Walter Haut, who died last year. Haut was public relations officer at Roswell at the time of the incident and in his statement he confirmed that the weather balloon story had been a lie, and that the US military had indeed recovered a crashed spacecraft.
