Red-Eyed Mysteries

Every so often in reports of a ufological nature, we hear stories of alleged alien entities who seem to possess a pair of self-illuminating, glowing red eyes. Here’s a posting that focuses on such issues.

And in their classic and greatest song (and homage to the nut-house) Psycho Therapy, Joey Ramone of the mighty Ramones (who recorded a number of Fortean and UFO-themed songs, such as Zero, Zero UFO; and the Joey Ramone-Dee Dee Ramone collaboration, I Am Seeing UFOs) snarls: “Now I got glowin’ eyes.”

Now we all know, or should know, that the Ramones were the greatest band in the history of rock and roll. I have to concede, however, that tragically-departed Joey didn’t have glowing eyes at all; but it would have been incredibly cool if he did.

And now, a friend of mine in the UK, Kithra, has just written a lengthy, and very insightful, article on the issue of glowing-eyed, unknown entities. The article focuses more on cryptozoology; however, Kithra’s comments, theories and observations can equally be applied to some of the stranger ufological cases that have been recorded over the decades and that relate to these “eerie-eyed entities,” as I like to call them.

Click here to read Kithra’s article.

Frankly, if the aliens do ever land, I hope they are proven to have glowing red eyes. That would be hell of a lot more fun than those boring old black eyes that the ever-grim and humorless Greys seem to possess.

Lot of people have expressed on previous threads that probably the very best X-Files episode was “Jose Chung’s From Outer Space”.

The only thing that episode lacked, was adding glowing red eyes to Lord Kimbolt ;-)

Maybe there needs to be a new rock band called Glowing Red Eyes.

  3. Nick Redfern Says:

    Bill:

Well, me, Greg, Paul Kimball and Mac Tonnies did think about starting a band at one time. So, who knows…?

  4. Greg Bishop Says:

    G.R.E. I vote yes!

Make it Glowing Red Eyes Gang, and that settles it.

Ok Greg, but ONLY if you officially change your name to Lord Kimbolt! ;-)
