Mack & UFOs

Well, having (only just about) recovered from the liver-decaying ravages and excesses of New Year’s Eve and Day, I figured it’s time to return to the world of all-things Ufological.
I have to confess that the following totally escaped me when it was first announced a couple of months ago, but it’s most definitely worthy of a mention or several now: John Mack’s Passport to the Cosmos was recently re-published.
Whatever you may think of the sadly late Mack’s views on accounts of “alien abduction,” his position at Harvard most definitely caught the attention of the media, and, as a result, the public, too.
And, so, if you didn’t buy his book the first time around, now is your chance to do so!
Mack got a lot of criticism in his time as an investigator of abduction accounts (granted, some of it was warranted, but much it most definitely was not); but at least he was willing to consider (and, at times, embrace) radical and thought-provoking ideas that went far beyond the conventional, tired and utterly, UTTERLY redundant “aliens are taking our DNA to save their dying race” scenario, that does nothing but inspire yawns in me.
I sometimes wonder where Mack’s mindset would be today had he continued to research and write about alien abductions. But, unfortunately, we’ll never know.
After his untimely death in London, however, he did leave us with a legacy and a body of data that was (and still is) a valuable contribution to the controversial world of alien abductions.
Here’s the link to the new edition of Mack’s Passport to the Cosmos at Amazon.
