At RetroCon I passed around an essay on the Invaders, reporting that Maury Island man Fred Crisman thought the show was about him. I met Roy Thinnes at Roswell a couple of years ago--you're right, a nice guy and until now he offered the only available showings of the old series. Another program by the same production compnay (Quinn Martin), called the FBI, used Mark Felt as a consultant. Felt is now identified as Watergate's "Deep throat". So Crisman might not have been far off in suggesting ties between the TV show and the covert intelligence world.
