Yeah i downloaded the first issue of this, but haven't had chance to read it yet. But it looks to contain some interesting stuff. Hopefully this week I'll get to to read it.

Ah, the viscisitudes of language:

Nick, never mind, "Aye chihuahua!"

I'd just been reading some other blog, (Cabinet of Wonders, I think) about people being abducted by Space Brains and Galactic Octopuses, and the likes, and so I immediately thought this was go'n'o be a story about rows of cute but dead little Space Chihuahuas lying on the ground alongside their bone-shaped UFO they'd been trying to bury in the ground or something.

Then, to my disappointment, I realised you were only referring to Chihuahua the place.

But then that set me off on another line of thought:

What if some of the 'extraterrestials' really were pooches, (or at least poochoid)?

People say, if they're really here, why don't they come out in the open?

But would they be so hypothetically 'open' and 'inviting' if, when they did come out, it turned out they were giant shrimps with eyeballs on stalks?

But even if they were poochoid and looked dead cute like vertical Lassies, would people be so keen on them if their customs required reciprocal hoisting of noses up each others' jacksies, followed by a sessions of licking each others n*ts?

...actually, I can think of a few people who might just go for that, including a few hostile non-believers!
