Beings sounds really interesting, I'm definitely going to have to check it out.

Maybe I'll get some ideas for the next book in my Otherworld Series which deals with alien abduction. Getting Out Alive is the first book in this series. www.reginapaul.com

I'm always fascinated by different writer's takes on this phenomenah. Never get tired of seeing what the new trend is.

See, that's where a Nintendo Wii comes in handy. Alien technology if ever there was any.

Yeah, I enjoyed "Beings." It's very different to any other abduction-driven movie; and has a claustrophobic, nightmarish theme that runs throughout. And the makers of the film - in my opinion, at least - did a skillful job in creating what really did seem to be a truly alien environment.

So it's certainly not a let-down - unlike the much-hyped kiss between Courtney Cox and Jennifer Anniston on last night's "Dirt" that I sat in front of the TV eagerly awaiting.

Now, that WAS a letdown! Bah!

Is the film "Beings" any good? I didn't get a sense of whether you liked it or not.

Dave,

I've heard several arguments to the effect that the moon is of artificial construction, or that it was moved into orbit around Earth by a deliberate act of "someone".

I know one fact often cited is the fact that relative to the size of Earth, its moon is quite large. Apparently this parent-to-child size ratio is highly unusual. Following right on the heels of that statement is the comment that the apparent size of the full moon in our sky is virtually identical to the apparent size of the sun's disk, which is also touted as being statistically unheard of.

Not being a statistician or astrophysicist I don't have any numbers or examples of other star/planet/moon systems that would either confirm or refute the idea that these attributes of our moon are wildly improbable in terms of blind chance. From an untrained layman's perspective the do sound like significant facts, but that could just be my own ignorance talking.

Some of these Von Daniken-style writers in the 1960s and 70s used to speculate that the moon was actually largely hollow and an artificial "construct". They used that "rang like a bell" observation as part of their argument.

Raven
Seen the short video, maybe that's where the many spheres sited on earth are coming from. I read sometime ago a book titled, Spaceship moon. Intresting book the author? had a change of heart regarding his thoughts on the moon. He gives a explaination why he thought moon travel stopped. There were a couple of intresting photos etc in this book that tie in with some of what this short video was mentioning. He mentioned in his info from nasa that at one point the moon rang like a bell when nasa crash landed their leftover spaceship on to the moon.

try that one out and no, it's not the Inquirer from Boca Raton.LOL!

speaks to non-believers in smudging, as well as to swamp gas, Joe Nickell's owls, Randi, Penn & Teller and many others. May even peak the interest of red-hot hoochie-mama chupas...but I doubt it.
