Contactees/Shirley MacLaine
Last weekend, I was interviewed by the actress Shirley MacLaine – on the topic of my Contactees book – for her Independent Expression Radio show. She had a lot of interesting ideas and thoughts about the UFO controversy, and a lot of ground was covered; including the cases of George Van Tassel, George Adamski and Truman Bethurum.
Here’s the link for those who may want to listen in to the episode, which is now online.

Thanks Nick! I love Shirley! She does many nice things for charity (like animal humane) here in NM. It will be great to hear the two of you together!

Good to hear something positive. I once heard an interview with Hilly Rose and he pretty much blasted her. I’ve heard she can be difficult. But,I’ve enjoyed her journeys especially the Out on a Limb book from way back. Oh well, who knows. Everybody can’t always like everybody.

Hmph! The site asks me to become a member, plus some other personal info. Alas, i think I’ll pass.
Pity. I was only curious to know if Nick had the cojones to tell Shirley what he REALLY thinks of her buddy Billy Meier —or are the Ramones t-shirts just for show??

Yeah, several people told me you have to sign-up to listen. I didn’t realize that.
Re Meier: LOL, I would have! But, for the most part, the show was chiefly the 50s Contactees – Adamski, Van Tassel, Bethurum, etc and the theories concerning why there might be an alien presence here.
What a lot of people don’t realize is that many radio shows ask the interviewee to send them the questions to be asked in advance.
That’s what this show did, and that’s what Coast to Coast do.
So, I generally send questions that I think people will want to hear me speaking/answering about.
And, for me, the Contactee movement of the 50s is the most interesting aspect of the whole Contactee realm, so that’s why my submitted questions didn’t really delve deep into the movement to the present day (for the most part, at least).
