James Carrion Has A Blog

MUFON International Director James Carrion has started a personal blog called Follow The Magic Thread. He stresses that his writings at the site do not reflect the views of MUFON, but a quick read of the posts so far should give everyone hope for the future of the organization.

I was very encouraged by Mr. Carrion’s interview on Radio Misterioso, where we talked about the direction that he and the board of directors were taking with the oldest civilian UFO organization in the U.S. Perhaps the only thing you need to know about James’ attitude towards UFO study is contained in this statement from the blog:

In Ufology there are no sacred cows and true progress comes from being willing to question what everyone else accepts as fact.

The post on intelligence agencies and UFOs is particularly illuminating.

If Carrion can make any contribution to the ailing field, perhaps it will be to make it more interesting and perhaps even attract new blood into the ranks. At most, he will help move us toward more answers by considering more questions.

I recently joined MUFON after listening to Carrion’s interview on RM. I think he’s pointing to the only way forward for our so-called field.

That intelligence post reminded my Picknett’s fascinating book — “Friendly Fire: The Secret War Between the Allies.” The Brit/Yank intelligence dynamic was a much bigger part to WWII than is realized — the Brits had a huge operation in the U.S. (leading up to the ultimate Redfern invasion).

Anyway Picknett’s Stargate Conspiracy book is among my top 5 alien invasion intelligence agency books — anyone?

    Firkon,

I’m not really a “joiner” even if I agree with a group, but was tempted to send in my $$. Maybe I still might.

    Drew,

Great. There’s another book I have to read.
