Does he run out of money ?

Anyway, it is good that he returns. Ufology is so serious recently. I need some funny guys.

I loved Chariots_of_the_Gods, for much the same reason I love Harry_Potter — they are both very entertaining reading material! I don’t have to believe it in order to enjoy it and they make amusing and stimulating food-for-thought. Unfortunately, Erick had to go and wreck the ride when he started releasing book after book after book — all of them appearing to be just variations of his Chariots_of_the_Gods with nothing new in them that was worth reading. It was like a New Age version of Friday the 13th. If Erick hadn’t of been so greedy to sell so many books, he might have been able to retain his initial charisma with me.

Now, years later, Erick is still releasing books. Big surprise…not! Will History_Is_Wrong change anything for me? I doubt it and I won’t know for sure until I read it, but I’m certainly not going to buy it until I read it first, just to make sure it is worth my time and my money. I already glanced over the table of contents in Amazon’s “LOOK INSIDE!”, and it basically only has three chapters to it! The first chapter is about “Mysterious Books” (82 pages) and my guess is that it is all about the Voynich manuscript as a lead-in to the main story about the golden panels in the Cueva de los Tayos — a topic which was already covered in Erich’s first book, Gold_of_the_Gods. The next chapter (84 pages) has a title, “Debunking the Debunkers”, which suspiciously sounds like the beginning of a bitter and vindictive rant which I imagine is probably going to be about how, “I am right and you are wrong and debunking should be outlawed because…well, because it hurts business”. Finally there is the chapter on “Natural Science in Nazca” (20 pages), but that is a topic already covered in Erich’s other book, Chariots_of_the_Gods.

So gee!, Once again, there is nothing new here, just the same ol’ rehash of topics already covered in his other umpteen books. He might of well have just called his newest book, Chariots_of_the_Gods - Revised. Well he could have, except doesn’t have as much of a variety in material as his original did. Yet like I said, I haven’t read it so I don’t know, it just might be an exception to the rule and turn out to be a great read (at least parts of it). Stranger things have happened. Afterall, I am still interested in the still yet-to-be-properly-explained Nazca Lines, and Erich’s write-up on the Voynich manuscript is the best I have ever seen, so there is some hope. As soon as I read it, I will get back to you and let you know what I find.
