Contactees & Venus Synchronicities

As some of you may know, I have a new book coming out at the end of this year titled Contactees - which, as I’m sure you can guess from its title, is a study of the Contactee movement.

Well, one of those who has been very helpful in terms of kindly making some of her research data available to me (specifically as it relates to the 1950s story of Contactee Dana Howard, and her alleged claims of contact with “Diane from Venus”) is researcher and uber-blogger, Regan Lee.

Only a few days ago, I finished the writing on the story of Howard - directly after which something very weird happened, as Regan reveals…

Knowing Nick as I do, I think his book will be one of the go-to volumes on the Contactee era. What’s the pub date, Nick?

  2. Nick Redfern Says:

    Hey Greg

It should be published about a week before the end of this year.

  3. Ed V. Says:

I hope the book has a healthy degree of objectivity and open mindedness. (There’s plenty of contactee bashing out there already.) Of course the ‘early contactees’ made some fantastic and sometimes inaccurate claims which is enough for some folks to throw out the baby with the bathwater. Strangely enough, on closer examination you’ll find that something was going on just by looking at the supporting testimonies. I hope Nick captures that element. But being a UFO nut I’ll probably buy the book anyway.

Nick — Just yesterday I got “Messages: The World’s Most Documented Extraterrestrial Contact Story” by Stan Romanek (with J. Allen Danelek) — 2009, Llewellyn — from my library.

I immediately wanted to see what your and Greg’s take was on the book as you have plugged J. Allen Danelek’s UFOS: The Great Debate book previously.

Anyway Llewellyn is out of my home town (Minneapolis-St. Paul) as is Danelek (I had some interest by Llewellyn in a book proposal maybe 5 years ago)….

My first reaction — another first-person “story” about subjective experiences with no verification…. thanks!

My second impression — the channelled information “coincidentally” is the SAME as Hal Putoff’s antigravity quantum propulsion technology — plus merged with “ancient” New Age science — Aramaic in this case, the language of Jesus (or more specifically Hellenized Hebrew)….

My third impression - slick “alien invasion” propaganda to adjust “civilians” to the next generation of military tech….

Now I’ll actually read the book word forword and if I survive I’ll get a copy of your new book as well. Thanks Nick!

    Ed:

Yes, the book is (I hope!) very open-minded. I’m firmly convinced there is a non-human intelligence behind much of the Contactee issue, and the book will strongly make that point.
