Vegas Ghosts - In Print

Back in 1996, when I was still living in England, I met a woman named Tracie Austin - an absolute dead-ringer for the singer with British rock-band, T’Pau. As Tracie only lived an hour or so drive from where I used to live, we would often travel together to local UFO gigs - as well as to the yearly conferences that were put on by the now sadly-closed UFO Magazine.
In addition, Tracie put on her own UFO conferences - and even had a couple of UFO experiences; including a profound “Flying Triangle” type sighting in the 1990s.
In 1999, we drove up to the annual LAPIS UFO Conference in the north of England, where Tracie met Jim Peters, a UFO investigator deeply involved at the time in the investigation of the “Rods” phenomenon.
Romance soon blossomed, and it wasn’t long before Tracie relocated to the U.S. - first to Los Angeles, and then to Las Vegas, where she and Jim still reside - and became Tracie Austin-Peters.
Of course, I didn’t envisage when Tracie moved to the U.S. that only a year or so later I would be doing likewise. But, life can be unpredictable, and that’s exactly what happened.
Today, I generally see Tracie about once a year - usually at Ryan Wood’s annual UFO Crash Retrieval Conference in Las Vegas.
But that’s not what I want to talk about. It’s slightly off-topic for a UFO blog; but I’m very pleased and proud to announce that Tracie has just had her first book published: Welcome to Haunted Las Vegas, Nevada.
As the blurb for the book states:
Got Ghosts? Las Vegas certainly has and many of them.
There’s an abundance of paranormal activity in this super hot, dry, and enchanting desert.
Come join us on the South side of Las Vegas as we learn about a ghost who gets a home owner’s attention by hanging a child’s Barbie doll from the ceiling.
Listen to a ghost who likes to play the Ukulele on the North side of town.
Meet the ghost of a Grandpa in the area of Sunrise Mountain who won’t leave until his new grandchild is born, and a spirit in the Summerlin neighborhood who made contact with the residents by writing messages on their bathroom mirrors!
Do you believe in ghosts?
YOU WILL…after hearing about the specters of Las Vegas!
18 True Ghost Haunts.
Hunt for ghosts with the Las Vegas Society of Supernatural Investigations.
Visit ghosts at Nellis Air Force Base, a haunted park, a hotel, an unusual cemetery, and people’s homes - both old and new.

Thanks Nick. But referring to T’Pau as a rock band is a bit of a travesty. I only remember their song “Heart and Soul”- and it definitely wasn’t rocking.

Hey Ben:
LOL, you are indeed right! “Pop” is the word I should have used!
