UFO Secrecy and Sci-Fi
This may be of interest to you:
Back in the late 1990s, when I lived in England, I used to regularly attend and speak at the monthly lectures of the now-defunct Staffordshire UFO Group. One of those who used to come along was a young kid named Robbie Graham.
Well, Robbie is all grown-up now (or, at least, he’s a bit older!), and is making a mark for himself within the UFO arena.
Along with his writing partner, Matthew Alford, Robbie has written a very thought-provoking paper titled The Deep Politics of Hollywood: Close Encounters with the Pentagon. The subject matter is the way in which the official world has tried to influence, or infiltrate, the genre of science-fiction.
Here’s the link to the article.
What is of equal interest (to me, at least!) is that there seems to be some definite synchroncity at work, as this is the exact same subject of my soon-to-be-published book, Science Fiction Secrets (from Anomalist Books)!
Hopefully - and collectively - this will all shed some welcome light on one of the oddest facets of the UFO puzzle.

Curious read-I was surprised to find
no mention of the mid-seventies Project UFO series. Given its
sources being derived largely from the
published Bluebook material, I would
have expected the USAF to have taken
considerable interest.
The business about Spielberg getting
a “20 page letter from NASA” is also
a brow-raiser. I’ll have to give it
a re-read tomorrow.
