Twitter UFO Report Censored?
This in from the breathless “Real UFOs” site: A US Airways pilot apparently twitted a sighting over the Atlantic Ocean last year and was censored by the Twitter staff. I have not checked up on this, but the newsworthy issue with this one is the vaguely tasteless and baseless inference from the author: “If Ufos were in the Atlantic vicinity before and were following a similar Airbus A330 aircraft in the past then they could have been involved with the current AirFrance 447 crash.” As a boss of mine once said “You’ve gotta bloody laugh or you’ve gotta bloody cry.”
Commenters at the site take the poster to task. As one of them says, the text does not sound like pilot-speak, and I would tend to agree. Does someone want to get in touch with U.S. Airways pilot John Krowiak and ask him what happened? If he exists, he might be pretty annoyed right about now.
Oh well, what good would another pilot UFO sighting to add to the database?
Meanwhile, here’s a great quote from Oscar Wilde. It’s good to keep in mind when looking at UFO websites (except this one of course.)
Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.

Gareth,
I know it’s kind of cruel, but unfortunately, it’s probably true. The unmentioned aspect of this is that some people use others’ opinions and work to build upon, and there’s nothing much wrong with that.
