If the US had a decent hate crime law then the Aliens could sue! Sounds like defamation anyway. Is lack of a lawsuit evidence of their nonexistence? Do they know what a lawsuit is? Do they care? So many questions.

"Organizers assert that, From a Biblical Christian perspective it becomes clear that ‘aliens’ are actually the evil spirits of the Bible"

How can someone use one fairytale to try and support another fairytale? If there is a God, why couldn't He/She/It/Them have created humans with some built-in common logical sense?

It's a lose-lose situation for the aliens: either they are demons because they are ugly-looking and perform atrocities to innocent victims (grays), or because they are false prophets sent to proclaim teachings contrary to what the Bible (or rather, the Bible-thumpers) holds as true (nordics).

In any case, it's quite possible that what we now describe as the UFO phenomenon had a huge influence in the development of most human religions. Does that mean that people in ancient times were fooled by ancient astronauts? not necessarily.

I wish there was some way to communicate in advertising copy that I'm perfectly willing to consider the "alien" as being an alien. That would not alter my theology at all. The question can go many different ways. But of course I'd like proof there are intelligent beings that live on other planets, who have determinate lifespans, have to be nourished, have to reproduce their species, yadda, yadda. Or that such is the case in another dimension, or that there are other dimensions. The dimensional idea is essentially synonymous with what Christians call the "spiritual world" (a poor term since - theologically / biblically speaking - that world MUST also be material and contain material beings - since there is only one uncreated/non-material being in biblical theology). This means how we talk about "angels and demons" ought to be more sophisticated. But maybe I'm just the stick in the mud.

Greg: if you will be in Roswell, I'd like to chat. I have a project in mind that I think will interest you.
