At about the 1 minute mark I didn’t know whether to laugh or what. Then I noticed the fake “onion-span” logo, and looked up the guy’s name.

On some lists, people are still refusing to believe that it’s not real.

To me, the Onion is the standard-bearer continuing the tradition of the early National Lampoon magazine. Satire makes fun of something while pointing out a problem. Paul Krassner did this with his Realist publication too.

Another master of social satire was Jean Shepherd, who is one of my radio heroes.

But you begin to wonder: how many bills are voted without the members of Congress fully knowing what the bill is all about because of ‘classified’ content.

It is sort of frightening that this is probably not so far from what really goes on with “homeland security” (and other defense) bills in Congress!

“Congress shall now approve contents of Bill XYZ, the entire contents, including the title of the Bill, are classified. All those in favor of passing this bill…”

If you don’t know what is on the Bill, why would you ignorantly vote for it?

The best part is when he says “Jesus!”
