UFO (and Weird) Collector’s Corner #3

For your perusal is this 1982 book by D. Scott Rogo, ESP And Your Pet. Rogo was a prolific writer (and serious researcher) of the paranormal. Some readers may know him from the legendary book The Tugunga Canyon Contacts, which he co-wrote with Ann Druffel. Rogo was found stabbed to death in his home in 1990. The man convicted of the crime, John Battista, served four years and was released on appeal due to a trial technicality.
It would seem that Rogo wrote this book for money or to fulfill a contract, but he actually took the assignment seriously, despite the hype on the cover and the silly picture. The book recounts anecdotal evidence and discusses actual ESP research with animals. For more on this subject, you might want to read some of Rupert Sheldrake’s research.
Researcher George Hansen has very good bio/ obituary at his site. Patrick Huyghe of The Anomalist also has a nice article on Rogo.
Yes, I originally bought it because of the cover.

Talking of animals - in the words of an author whose name I’ve forgotten, are you a dog person or a cat person? This relates to this whole question of UFO’s believers/ disbelievers in the form of The Matrix (blue pill/ red pill personality) - in other words are you a pack follower, obeying without question the precepts of your society or an independent, self-led individual - going your own way/ believing what you want, rather than following the party line?
