UFOs & Room 101

Over at Richard Thomas’s Room 101 (which can be found at Tim Binnall’s Binnall of America), you can find a new interview with me. Most of the interview is focused upon the worlds of sci-fi and zombie films. But you can also find a few ufological comments and observations, too. Here’s the link.

I bet you would dig The Prisoner.

  2. WR Hancock Says:

Glad to hear you’re a Pertwee fan,Sir Nick. I agree that the Pertwee-Baker incarnations were the “golden age” of Dr. Who. Is not the squad-leading Sean Pertwee of “Dog Soldiers” the son of the imminent doctor?

    Bill

  3. Nick Redfern Says:

    Ben:
Yeah, The Prisoner was a cool show!

    Bill:
Yep, Sean Pertwee is indeed his son. Dog Soldiers is a great film!

  4. BenDoverEsq. Says:

    Dog Soldiers is awesome.

  5. BenDoverEsq. Says:

The American Movie Classics website is streaming all of the original The Prisoner episodes for free. They’ve remade it (and will be releasing it as a mini series later this year). I get the feeling the remake is going to have few if any of the Kafkaesque elements found in the original.

Brilliant ! Some of my favourite films are mentioned here except the original Dawn of the dead, but I’ll let that one slide, lol. Totally agree with everyones thoughts on Dog Soldiers. It kicks arse especially when you consider how small the budget was. I’m still hanging to see ” The Descent ” also made by Neil Marshall . Anyone who enjoyed Shaun of the dead or Hot Fuzz will be pleased to know their third film is going to be a sci fi themed comedy by all accounts. In my opinion Jon pertwee may come in 2nd to Tom Baker as Dr Who but he was No 1 when it comes to scaring crows. Worzel Gummidge Rules !!!
