(Possible) UFO Nut In Custody For Threatening Obama

A man who called Barack Obama “a sacrifical lamb” was arrested Friday by the U.S. Secret Service in Brookhaven, Mississippi. He posted his messages on a UFO/ alien website forum.
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A Wisconsin man has been arrested in Mississippi for threats he allegedly made against President-elect Barack Obama on the Internet.
Steven Joseph Christopher, 42, was arrested Friday [January 16, 2009] by the Secret Service in Brookhaven, Miss., and was charged with threatening to assassinate Obama for what he claimed was “the country’s own good,” according to federal prosecutors. The criminal complaint was sealed until Christopher’s appearance in federal court.
Judge James C. Sumner ordered Christopher held until a bail hearing next Thursday. Sumner suggested Christopher be held in isolation for his own safety.
A news release says Christopher made the threats Jan. 11 and 15 on the Web site www.alien-earth.org.
Loren Coleman has a detailed write up of the incident at his Copycat Effect blog.
I wonder how long it will be before people start to look into a mind control angle for this incident, even though Christopher plainly announced his intentions in public. There are already what appear to be hundreds of forum posts which run the gamut from the strange to simply relieved at Alien-Earth.org:
The moral of this little story… If you want to succeed, keep your mouth shut and do what you’re gonna do under cover of secrecy.
Loose lips sink ships.
Something tells me Stevie has been wanting to get caught all along. He may be crazy but he is far from stupid.
_____
This made My YEAR!
After all the threats he made to others and me.
I sure hope he gets the help he needs.
_____
This is surreal…the forums I post at are being investigated!? Good thing I never say anything of any relevance.
_____
The Secret Service guys are the Heroes. I am SO relieved that they found him.
Normally I just delete threats. However, “Stevie” had been traveling across country to carry out his threats. After he started doing this, it became a whole new ballgame.
When he threatened the President-Elect, it didn’t matter whether I thought Stevie was serious or not. I could no longer be responsible for taking that chance. The authorities had to be alerted.
A search for “Stevie”s posts at the forum turned up nothing from January 11th or 15th, which are the days he supposedly made his threatening statements. Admins most likely deleted them after Christopher’s arrest.
This situation brings to mind the case of Aladino Felix, who led a terrorist ring in Brazil in the early 1960s. In the late 1950s, he wrote a book entitled My Contact With Flying Saucers. When arrested, he predicted that his Venusian friends would break him out of jail.

RPJ,
Well, he got it. I’m sort of glad that he apparently has other issues such as anti-semitism running in his head. If he was simply a “UFO Contactee” as some claim, it would make me sort of sad and worried about the contactee subject.

It seems that the loons, with the aid of the exopolitics crowd, have quickly become the norm amongst online folks interested in the subject. These aren’t people with a healthy skeptical interest who are seeking answers- these folks are akin to religious fanatics who are certain they already have all the answers. They can go on and on about the different types of ships, the different races, the motivations, etc. It’s creepy how convinced they are. I would say they are just the annoying victims of New Age claptrap but there’s often a dark side to their rhetoric. They’re gullible fanatics and they should be taken seriously.

He is not a contactee. That was a rumor that got started in another blog, and then snowballed. I read the guys whole thread and there is nothing of the sort.

This guy has a bunch of youtube vids posted at http://www.youtube.com/user/StevieThePlayboy
Not a Contactee as far as I can tell, but he has some theories that are definitely “out there”. He would of made a good Untamed Dimensions guest, back in the day…
