I've got over 300+ cassettes yet to rip when I get a larger place to setup a proper computer/communications room. I didn't get into the cd thing until well into the '90's and didn't have a VCR til '93 or a PC till '99. You're likely well ahead of the mass of humanity even in the US. All editing and audio noise reduction/restoration would be done in that format so basically we would be doing future proof audio archival material.
