Dulce Underground UFO Base Conference Scheduled
The holy grail of underground UFO bases may or may not be located near Dulce, in far northwestern New Mexico. This small town, located on the Jicarilla Apache reservation, was the epicenter for strange light sightings and cattle mutilation activity from the late 1970s to the late ’80s.
Gabe Valdez, the New Mexico state Police officer for the area, was a main interview subject for my book, Project Beta. Based on conversations with him in the last couple of years, I think some people would be surprised at his take on events and rumors about Dulce. Perhaps he can be persuaded to speak publicly.
On March 29, 2009. former Area 51 researcher and early 1990s UFO convention staple Norio Hayakawa, along with a few friends from the Albuquerque area will stage the first Underground Base Conference at the Best Western Jicarilla Inn:
The first “Underground Base” conference is tentatively scheduled to be held in the town of Dulce, New Mexico next March. This unprecedented gathering in the town of Dulce will take place on Sunday, March 29, timed right in with the Aztec UFO Conference 2009 which will be held on March 27 and 28 in Aztec, New Mexcio, an hour and a half away from Dulce. In the Aztec Conference I am privileged to present the topic: REALITIES BEHIND THE STATE OF MIND: AREA 51 AND DULCE.
The conference room, unfortunately, can accommodate only about 25 people at most, but, with extra chairs, it is possible to squeeze in about 35 people. Anyway this one-day conference in Dulce, which will start at 10 a.m., is entitled: DULCE BASE, FACT OR FICTION?
I’m going to ask the organizers if I can make a presentation on the “FICTION” part of the conference proceedings, although I’d be interested to hear others present data on the “FACT” evidence.
Hayakawa also says that the entrance fee for the conference will be a paltry TWO DOLLARS. With the money saved on the actual conference, many of you should be able to make it out there.

With only a capacity of 35 people, I seriously doubt you can call it a ‘conference’. More like a ‘gathering’ or a ‘reunion’.
A suggestion for the organizers of this none-the-less interesting event: Online live video feeds, or at least Youtube clips afterward.

RPJ,
Maybe more like a “meeting,” but I admire the organizers for their apparent disinterest in abundant profits. As you suggest, I should ask that that they either e-conference it, or make DVDs available afterwards.
