19th Century UFOs

If you sit on an idea long enough and don’t do anything about it, rest assured that someone will.

In the first week of Ufomystic’s existence, I started a piece on 19th century UFO sightings and contacts, but never found enough information to finish it. Now Theo Paijmans has written an excellent article for the Darklore II compendium on exactly this subject.

Check out excerpts at the Daily Grail site.

(Can anyone guess what the image is?)

P.S. For our U.S. readers, best wishes for a happy Thanksgiving!

I have just written a comment on TDG, regarding the assertion made by Phil ‘Bad Astronomer’ Plait, that astronomers don’t see UFOs and that the greatest argument against alien visitation is the absence of reports coming from amateur astronomers.

Many astronomers observed unexplained objects during the XIX century.

    PS: Happy Thanksgiving, gringos! ;-)

    RPJ,

“It” rears it’s ugly head again. I also pointed out the fallacy in this strange assertion in a post from August 1st of this year.

Feliz Dia De Accion de Gracias a usted, extranjero!

Well Phil Plait said I should see a psychiatrist — before P.Z. Myers banned me from all the SEED science blogs. Then Greg Taylor banned me from dailygrail so at least I’m making an “impact.” haha

Umm, would you like to present some evidence to back up this allegation?

    Kind regards,
    Greg
