UFO Believer Doesn’t Believe He Can Brief Obama

Jeff Peckman, recently in the news promoting the Stan Romanek “alien video,” and before that, trying to get a ballot initiative to form a commission on ET relations, is at it again. He’s proposing a UFO briefing for presumed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

From the Rocky Mountain News:

The Denver man who is pushing a ballot initiative to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in the Mile High City is offering to give Barack Obama a briefing on space aliens and their alleged visits to Earth.

“I can get him information that I believe is better than what he would get as president,” Jeff Peckman said Thursday.

Peckman said he realizes his chances of meeting with Obama when the presumptive presidential nominee comes to Denver are slim.

“I don’t expect anybody to let me meet him in person,” he said, laughing.

Peckman also is asking the Democratic Party “to include a plank in the their platform” during the Democratic National Convention that includes holding “open, secrecy-free hearings on the UFO/extraterrestrial presence on and around Earth.”

A surprisingly balanced portrait of Peckman was also published in the same paper.

What’s up with that alien video? When is the full thing supposed to be released? And Greg, have you ever thought of moving your show to Blog Talk Radio. Your pal Adam Gorightly and his starship Psychopath used to be on there. I guess the thing I like about it is the shows are archived.

    Ben,

Probably it will be released when the people who got it from Romanek can get the best deal possible.

I’m in the process of moving to another station/ setup with automatic podcasting. Should have it set up in a couple of months, when I’m back from a trip and getting married.

Awesome news on all accounts. Congrats!

    Hey, congratulations!

Are you planning an Ufological honeymoon? Visiting a few UFO hot spots perhaps, or a trip to Billy Meier’s camp in Switzerland? ;)

  5. Greg Bishop Says:

    Ben and RPJ,

Thank you, and no, no UFO honeymoon. The future wife isn’t interested in such things, except as interesting (and short) signposts on any trip, but she indulges me, which is one reason why we’re getting hitched. (Another is that she doesn’t deny me my paragliding.)

The only UFO convention she enjoys are the Retro Conferences, since it’s close to home and the weirdos are less inscrutable!
