so, i challenge matt to produce a crop circle...on video....to be checked for real signs of typical environmental effects from the circle(nodes blown out, soil spherules, genetic changes in seeds in and out of the circle, etc.)...in 5 minutes or less.

extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof....

Greg
I just realized I started my above-comment with the word "Matt." I did of course mean to address you. It's early in the morning! LOL.

Matt
Yes, he does think all the formations are human-made.

Ben:
I know that we are going to differ on the origin of the circles; however, I do think we need to get away from using the terms hoaxer and hoaxed.

These are emotive terms that imply deception, fooling people and conning people.

In reality, most crop circle makers are not hoaxers - they have other, often very deep, motivations.

I know - and have gained the trust - of more than a few circle makers, and when you do, you begin to realize that what is afoot is far more significant than making circles simply to hoax people or fool the newspapers etc.

Matt, for example, has experienced numerous weird phenomena in formations of his own making; others make the formations as a form of art and they enjoy the response that their creations provoke - as most artists do.

And as Drew points out in his comment, Matt uses rite, ritual and invocations to bring positive energy to the formations (as do certain other makers).

Matt has also commented that he believes the circle makers are unconsciously guided to create these things (and points out similarities between formations made by separate teams who weren't aware of the plans for each other's designs - yet they were eerily similar).

So, Matt recognizes fully that there is a weird, paranormal element to circles, but rather than suggesting it's ET doing this, Matt takes an approach that in many ways harks back to the time of ancient man, when the Earth itself, ritual magic and invocation were more important; and that following this approach attracts and creates paranormal phenomena, and perhaps even opens portals or doorways to other realms.

So, yes, these people are makers, but not fakers.

His head is "tonsured" haha -- actually that's just alluding to "Lurking at the Threshold." OK I don't have sound right now but I have read your recent book which has a chapter on him. So rest assured that Nick and his convict friend (which seems all too common with Nick. I, myself, have been arrested 8 times for civil disobedience, trespassing, etc.) also include paranormal experiences in relation to crop circles: spheres of light, invocation of beasts, etc. -- well maybe I'm getting into murky territory. That there are secret rituals happening in lieu of crop circles...Occult technology, art as shamanism....

Actually that's a typical day for me as well. haha.

Does he say ALL crop circles?

Although I find it easy to accept that many or indeed most formations are made by stomping crops down, I need to be intellectually honest that this method does not account for everything that has been found, such as evidence of heating, carbonized substances on the crops, and some paranormal weirdness witnessed by the circle makers and researchers (the careful ones anyway.)

Actually, Nancy Talbott of BLT Research will be on my show next Sunday to talk about this.
