Knights Templar To Sue Vatican

The Daily Telegraph reports today that one of the many claimants to the lineage of the medieval Templar order has announced that it will seek to recover assets they say were stolen by the Catholic Church in the 14th century:

The Association of the Sovereign Order of the Temple of Christ, whose members claim to be descended from the legendary crusaders, have filed a lawsuit against Benedict XVI calling for him to recognise the seizure of assets worth 100 billion euros (£79 billion).

Somehow, this looks like a publicity stunt more than anything else.

To show that I have as good a conspiracy mind as anyone else, we’ll connect today’s story to UFOs thus:

The Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland was designed and supervised by William Sinclair, who was rumored (at least in the Da Vinci Code book and film) to have been the head of the Scottish Templar order at the time (15th century.)

All along the arches in the crossing of the chapel are carved enigmatic designs that no one has been able to decipher (if there is indeed anything to decode in them.) Some researchers have suggested that the designs are keys to secrets ranging from the location of the Holy Grail or Ark of the Covenant to the secret of life itself. Some go further and claim that the carvings are so inscutable that they must have been given to Sinclair by aliens or at least aliens masquerading as angels.
