Lecture in Southern CA Saturday

If any readers live in Southern California, you might want to come out to the dA Center For The Arts in Pomona this Saturday (July 19th) and say hello. I’ll be speaking at the “Cosmic Spacecraft Conventionevent at about 5PM. The festival runs from 3 to 10PM and also features UFO, alien, and space exploration-inspired artwork.

From the press release:

Our first Cosmic Space Convention will feature Greg Bishop, author several books, including Weird California, and Zen and the Art of Close Encounters. Mat Gleason, publisher of Coagula is speaking on Astrology. Edgar Mitchell sent his DVD, “A View From Space, A Message of Peace” which will be screened.

The evening program includes an indoor outdoor concert with progressive rock band, “Lux Nova Umbra Est: Light is the New Dark,” featuring a spacey light show by Franz Keller, who will open the concert with a techno music set. Surprise performance art will intersperse the convention like meteor showers.

Since I’ll be speaking to an audience of artists and others who don’t usually care about UFOs, the talk will probably be more like a love letter to the UFO subject, and I won’t be reading from a prepared speech like I usually do. I’m also planning to play some examples of flying saucer music, some of which has been featured here at UFOmystic.

The address is 252-D South Main Street Pomona CA 91766-1630. I hope to see some Ufomystic friends there!
