There's nothing 'heroic' about the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima or Nagasaki. They were deadly serious business that hastened the end of the war with Japan and prevented a futile struggle to save face by sacrificing the Japanese civilian population to create a Phyrric victory for the Allies. Back in the '80's, I went to Roswell on a TDY for a post strike recovery exercise. I'm fairly sure I stayed in the same hotel. As small towns go, Roswell's not bad.
