The story–oh, it sounds like someone is having fun with a tragic event. Which is also sad, but also part of the Fortean experience.

It sounds rather like a variant on the good folk who live underground or the Shaver mystery. Or the little people that the Native Americans said lived underground and sometimes kidnapped people–the Rock Babies, I think they are popularly called in English.

I do feel sad for his wife, though–first losing her husband and then having these weird rumors fly. I know it would push my temper a bit were I she.

But I got to say: whenever I hear someone say “I don’t want media attention” And its got big media attention, I have to wonder when the book or movie is coming out.

Interesting news. It seems that we have two stories now, both believable. He could have crashed doing either activity, although a “joyride” may be more plausible since he may not have been keeping as careful a watch on his altitiude or fuel, etc. Even the most experienced pilots can make mistakes.

There is also the possibility that his wife is covering up something, perhaps to save his reputation or discourage people like this “M” from spreading rumors, or both.

Yes, that’s what I thought. Just a pretty good tale that could be kicked around on C2C and the internet.

I wonder if they found any bodies in the old plane wrecks? Being who he was, Perhaps Fossett’s misadventure was the only one that was followed up with more effort.

There’s a part where this guy tells that Fosset told him during a phone conversation, that he had taken some UFO investigator to see this weird inter-dimensional “portal”, but that neither of them had had the courage to step inside it.

So, who was this UFO investigator?
