Rare UFO Audio
Wendy Connors has been collecting recordings of historic UFO personalities for many years, and is generally recognized as the premier audio archivist of Ufology. Her Faded Discs project is a clearinghouse of all sorts of UFO-themed audio, from the ridiculous to the precious.
Available for purchase are CDs full of mp3s of reports to the National UFO Reporting Center, Barney Hill interviewed on a radio show from 1964 and a recording of Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker interviewed by the Pascagoula sheriff hours after their abduction experience. Most interesting to me are the 1950s-era recordings of contactees such as all the “Georges”: George Adamski, George Hunt Williamson, George King and George Van Tassel, as well as other, lesser-known personalities. There are also two segments featuring Woody Derenberger, an obscure figure from the fallout of the Mothman era in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

Though they seem a little pricey, looking at the sheer volume of material
in each volume( over 24 hours! ) they
sound a bargin. Thanks for the heads-up!
And in a slightly related and utterly
self-serving tangent, I’ll mention that
our guest tonight on PRECOGNITIVE DISSONANCE is Patrick Huyghe, noted
Anomalist journalist.

Hope y’all tune in.

The chance to hear Woody Derenberger speak is welcomed.

Wendy Connors is nothing short of pure inspiration to me.

Craig,
I’ve bought a few volumes. They are vastly educational and fun.

Thomas,
Yeah, that’s one of the discs I don’t have. I wonder what Derenberger sounds like? I have a recording of Andy Sinatra (”The Mystic Barber of Brooklyn”) and he sounds like a complete nut. You never know how people are going to present themselves.

Al L,
She actually lent me the only picture I could find of Paul Bennewitz for the book.
